About This Villa

Set within 350 hectares of private land in Escorca, Possessió Muntanya is a secluded Mallorcan estate in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by mountain scenery, gardens and grazing sheep, this peaceful retreat offers space to slow down and experience the island’s rural heritage.

Built in 1800 and thoughtfully restored, the main house brings together traditional stone, rustic timber and contemporary design. Its historic tafona, the traditional olive press, preserves a connection to Mallorca’s agricultural past, while spacious lounges, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room create welcoming places to gather with family and friends.

The main house offers seven double bedrooms across two floors, with mountain and garden views and bathroom facilities. The brochure describes a shared bathroom connection for one adjoining room; please confirm the room arrangement when booking. Six bedrooms are upstairs, and one is downstairs. Although six bedrooms are listed, guests may use all seven; the maximum permitted occupancy remains nine guests. Each bedroom has a 1.80 × 2.00 m bed that cannot be split into twins. Central heating with radiators throughout provides comfort in cooler months; the house has no air conditioning.

Outside, landscaped gardens and terraces invite long lunches in the open air and quiet afternoons surrounded by nature. An ancient cistern converted into a private swimming pool is a distinctive centrepiece, with space nearby to relax in the sun. The estate’s rural setting offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and birdwatching, with trails leading towards Puig Tomir. From birdsong in the morning to the sight of sheep grazing on the land, a stay here follows the unhurried rhythm of the mountains.

Thoughtful touches include toiletries from THINK in Pollença, pool and beach towels, and a welcome pack of one bottle of cava and two bottles of Axartell wine. The kitchen includes Nespresso and filter coffee machines, a French press and an espresso maker, alongside a dishwasher. A tumble dryer and an on-site drinking water treatment plant add practical comfort throughout your stay.
