Ibiza: The Island That Defies Convention

Ibiza occupies a unique place in the Mediterranean. It is at once one of the world's most famous nightlife destinations and one of the region's most serene retreats. The north of the island — with its pine-forested hills, hidden coves and centuries-old fincas — feels a world away from the energy of Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa. This duality is precisely what makes Ibiza so compelling.

Dalt Vila, the walled old town and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, rises above the harbour, its Renaissance walls enclosing cobblestone streets, galleries and restaurants with views towards Formentera. The sunset at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni has become a cultural ritual, and clubs such as Pacha and Amnesia have shaped electronic music culture for some fifty years. Yet a short drive north, you can find quiet coves and countryside that feel far from the crowds.

Our Ibiza collection includes clifftop villas in Es Cubells, homes in the Roca Llisa area near Santa Eulària des Riu and villas within easy reach of Ibiza Town — several with infinity pools. Each villa page lists its bedrooms, capacity, seasonal rates and minimum stay.

Ibiza Town & Dalt Vila

The Cultural Epicentre. Ibiza Town (Eivissa) is where the island's history, culture and nightlife converge. Dalt Vila, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rises dramatically above the harbour, its 16th-century Renaissance walls enclosing a labyrinth of cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, art galleries and intimate restaurants. Below, the Marina Botafoch area has become the island's most glamorous waterfront, with yacht berths, acclaimed restaurants and the legendary Pacha nightclub nearby. La Marina quarter offers bohemian boutiques and harbour-side dining. For villa guests, Ibiza Town is the cultural anchor — vibrant, historic and endlessly fascinating.

  • UNESCO Dalt Vila fortress
  • Marina Botafoch superyacht harbour
  • Pacha & nightlife district
  • La Marina bohemian quarter
  • Contemporary art galleries

Santa Eulalia del Río

The Refined East Coast. Santa Eulalia is Ibiza's most elegant resort town — a place where families, couples, and those seeking a more refined pace of life gather along a beautiful tree-lined promenade. The town boasts the island's only river, a charming hilltop church, and an excellent selection of restaurants ranging from traditional Ibizan cuisine to contemporary Mediterranean. The surrounding area — including the upscale residential zones of Roca Llisa and Can Furnet — offers some of the island's most desirable villa locations, with easy access to beautiful beaches like Cala Llonga, Es Canar, and Cala Nova.

  • Tree-lined seafront promenade
  • Puig de Missa hilltop church
  • Roca Llisa residential enclave
  • Cala Llonga & Es Canar beaches
  • Wednesday hippy market at Es Canar

San José & the Southwest

Sunset Coast & Es Vedrà. San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia) encompasses Ibiza's most dramatic coastline — from the sunset viewpoints of Cala d'Hort overlooking the rock of Es Vedrà, to the beaches of Cala Jondal (home to the Blue Marlin beach club), Cala Tarida and Cala Conta. The village of San José itself is a whitewashed gem with good restaurants. Es Cubells, perched on cliffs above the sea, is home to several villas in our Ibiza collection. This is where Ibiza's natural beauty is at its most spectacular.

  • Es Vedrà mystical rock formation
  • Cala Jondal & Blue Marlin
  • Cala Conta sunset beach
  • Es Cubells clifftop villas
  • Sa Talaia — Ibiza's highest point

North Ibiza & San Juan

The Authentic Interior. Northern Ibiza is the island's best-kept secret — a landscape of rolling hills, pine forests, and hidden valleys that feels untouched by time. San Juan (Sant Joan de Labritja) is the heart of this area, with its famous Sunday market and authentic village atmosphere. The north coast offers some of Ibiza's most spectacular beaches: Benirràs (famous for its Sunday drumming circles), Cala Xarraca, and the remote Aigües Blanques. This is where Ibiza's original bohemian spirit lives on — in converted fincas, organic farms, and a community of artists and free spirits who chose this corner of the island for its beauty and tranquility.

  • Benirràs beach & drum circles
  • Cala Xarraca natural pools
  • Authentic finca countryside

Ibiza Travel Guide

When is the best time to visit Ibiza?

Ibiza's main season runs from May to October. June and September offer an ideal balance — warm weather (25–30°C) and the club season in full swing, without the peak crowds and prices of July and August. May and October suit those seeking tranquillity, lower rates and pleasant weather for exploring. The main club season runs from May to mid-October.

Is Ibiza suitable for families?

Yes. Northern Ibiza and Santa Eulària offer a family-friendly atmosphere with beautiful beaches, calm waters and good restaurants. Every villa in our Ibiza collection has a private pool, and most have gardens and several bedrooms. Babysitting, children's activities and family boat trips can be requested. The island's markets, shallow beaches and nature reserves also make for easy family days.

How far is Formentera from Ibiza?

Formentera lies a short crossing south of Ibiza: fast ferries from Ibiza Town reach La Savina in about 30 minutes. Many visitors combine an Ibiza villa stay with a day on Formentera, and a private boat charter can be requested for the crossing so you can anchor off Illetes beach and explore at your own pace.

Can you help with nightlife and club reservations?

Yes. Table reservations at clubs and beach clubs can be requested through our team, subject to each venue's availability and policies. Private gatherings at a villa must respect its house rules and local regulations on noise and events, so we confirm what is permitted for your chosen property before you book.

What makes Azul Stays different from other Ibiza villa agencies?

Azul Stays offers luxury villa rentals in Ibiza, Mallorca, and Menorca, alongside optional services that can be requested for your stay: yacht charters with Bluebnc Yachting, car hire with Azul Cars, private chef services, wellness treatments, transfers, and more. Service scope, provider, price, and availability are confirmed for each booking.
