What to Pack for a Villa Holiday in Mallorca
Seasonal packing guide, what's provided at the villa, and what to bring for specific activities in Mallorca.
Packing for a villa holiday is different from packing for a hotel — you have more space, more freedom, and different needs. Here's our guide to packing smart for Mallorca.
What Your Villa Provides — Amenities and services vary by villa. Please review the individual villa page and your written booking confirmation or rental agreement for the details that apply to your stay.
Summer (June-September) — Lightweight, breathable clothing. Evenings can be warm, so smart-casual rather than heavy layers. Swimwear (multiple sets recommended), sun cream (SPF 50 for children), sunglasses, a hat, and comfortable sandals. A light cardigan or wrap for air-conditioned restaurants. Smart shoes for fine dining.
Shoulder Season (April-May, October) — Layers are key. Warm days (20-25°C) but cooler evenings (12-16°C). A light jacket, long trousers for evenings, and a swimsuit (pools are often heated, sea is swimmable from May). Walking shoes if you plan to hike in the Tramuntana.
Winter (November-March) — Mild but variable (10-18°C). A warm jacket, jumpers, waterproof layer, and comfortable walking shoes. Mallorca is beautiful in winter for hiking, cycling, and cultural exploration. Some villas have heated pools; check with us.
For Specific Activities — Cycling: bring your own kit (we can arrange bike rental). Hiking: proper walking boots for Tramuntana trails. Golf: most courses have dress codes (collared shirt, tailored shorts). Fine dining: smart-casual minimum; some restaurants require jackets for men. Yacht day: non-marking shoes, swimwear, light layers.
What NOT to Pack — Beach toys and inflatables (we provide these), baby equipment (cots, highchairs, car seats available), excessive toiletries (most villas have premium products), and too many books (villas often have libraries, and there's good WiFi for e-readers).
Our Tip — Pack lighter than you think. Mallorca has excellent shopping in Palma (El Corte Inglés, designer boutiques, Zara/Mango) and most villa areas have local shops for forgotten essentials. Our team can also help arrange deliveries to the villa, subject to local availability.
