Getting to Mallorca
Flights, private aviation, ferry options, and airport transfer arrangements for your luxury villa holiday.
Mallorca is one of the best-connected islands in the Mediterranean, with excellent air links to all major European cities and growing connections to the Middle East and North Africa.
Commercial Flights — Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI) is served by over 150 airlines connecting to 200+ destinations. Direct flights operate year-round from London (2h 20min), Frankfurt (2h 10min), Paris (1h 50min), Amsterdam (2h 30min), Zurich (1h 50min), and many other European cities. In summer, frequency increases dramatically with multiple daily flights from most major airports.
Private Aviation — Palma airport has excellent private aviation facilities (Son Bonet for smaller aircraft, PMI's General Aviation Terminal for larger jets). We can arrange FBO handling, customs clearance, and direct tarmac-to-car transfers. Flight times from London are approximately 2 hours, from Geneva 1h 30min, and from Paris 1h 40min. We work with several private jet charter companies and can arrange quotes on request.
Ferry — Baleària and Trasmediterránea operate daily ferries from Barcelona, Valencia, and Dénia to Palma and Alcúdia. The fast ferry from Barcelona takes about 5-6 hours. This is a good option if you wish to bring your own car, though we generally recommend flying and renting locally.
Airport Transfers — We provide luxury private transfers from Palma airport to all villa locations. Vehicles include Mercedes V-Class (up to 6 passengers), Range Rover (up to 4), and larger vehicles for groups. Transfer times: Puerto Andratx 25 min, Palma/Son Vida 15 min, Valldemossa 30 min, Sóller 35 min, Deià 40 min, Pollensa 55 min, Alcúdia 50 min.
Car Rental — Through our sister company Azul Cars, we offer luxury vehicle rental delivered directly to your villa or the airport. Fleet includes Range Rover, Mercedes, Porsche, and convertibles. We recommend having a car for most villa locations (except those in Palma or Port de Pollensa where you can walk to amenities).
Best Time to Book Flights — For peak season (June-September), book flights 3-6 months in advance for the best availability and prices. Shoulder season (April-May, October) offers excellent weather with lower flight costs and more availability. Winter flights are inexpensive but less frequent.
