A practical guide to the best restaurants in Mallorca, organised around the villa areas. Find current Michelin-starred tables, realistic drive planning and seasonal booking notes for 2027 stays.
Where should you eat well in Mallorca?
Quick answer. For the best restaurants in Mallorca, choose the table around your villa area rather than trying to cross the island every evening. Palma has three one-star restaurants in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide; the southwest has Es Fum and Sa Clastra; the north has Maca de Castro and Fusion19; Llucmajor in the south has Andreu Genestra; and Canyamel in the east has the two-star VORO. The Tramuntana needs more care because Béns d’Avall is closed throughout 2026. This is a practical map for a villa week, not a complete guide to every accolade. For the full distinction-by-distinction reference, read our Mallorca MICHELIN restaurant guide.
Palma: the easiest base for several starred dinners
Palma is the most flexible choice for a group that wants more than one serious dinner during a week. The official 2026 MICHELIN list places DINS Santi Taura, Marc Fosh and Zaranda in Palma’s one-star group. They are close enough to combine with a late-afternoon walk in the old town, but they are distinct restaurant experiences, so reserve the exact table you want rather than treating them as substitutes.
Marc Fosh is on Carrer de la Missió and its current site publishes seasonal tasting menus. It serves lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with Sunday and Monday closed. DINS Santi Taura offers a set tasting menu; its reservation conditions publish separate dining-room and chef’s-counter seatings. Zaranda is at Hotel Es Princep near the old quarter and remains on the official 2026 one-star list.
A Palma villa base makes dinner logistics straightforward, particularly for an arrival night or the evening before an early departure. Start with one Palma reservation, then leave another night open for the restaurant you most want if an earlier cancellation appears. For groups, ask the restaurant about its table configuration before committing to a fixed menu or wine pairing.
The city also suits a non-tasting-menu evening. Adrián Quetglas’s own site shows a current reservation route, published service times and two tasting-menu formats. It is included here as a practical Palma option, not as a 2026 starred recommendation. Check the restaurant directly for the menu and date that apply to your stay.
Southwest Mallorca: Es Fum and Sa Clastra near Portals and Andratx
The southwest gives Portals, Calvià and Andratx villa guests two current one-star choices with a manageable driving plan: Es Fum in Costa d’en Blanes and Sa Clastra in Es Capdellà. Both appear in the 2026 MICHELIN list and both have active official restaurant or booking pages.
Es Fum is at The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. Its own site lists dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, from 19:30 to 21:00, and describes tasting menus with optional wine pairings. From Portals Nous centre to Es Fum, the OSRM route is 1.5 km and about 2 minutes in free-flow routing. From Andratx town to Es Fum, it is 17 km and about 17 minutes. Those figures are useful for planning, not a promise: summer traffic, parking and a villa’s precise position can add time.
Sa Clastra is at Castell Son Claret and its hotel site identifies it as the property’s Michelin-starred fine-dining restaurant. From Andratx town, the OSRM route is 10 km and about 19 minutes. This is a good choice for a dedicated dinner rather than a rushed return from a beach day.
For a southwest stay, Puerto Andratx villas give the clearest access to both routes. Villa Claridad is in Portals, sleeps 10 guests in five bedrooms, has published nightly rates of €2,800–€3,500 and a five-night minimum stay. Choose dates first, then make the restaurant booking around the confirmed dinner time.
Tramuntana: plan around Deià and Sóller with the season in mind
The Tramuntana is the area where seasonal checking matters most. Béns d’Avall, the one-star restaurant on the Sóller–Deià road in the 2026 MICHELIN list, states on its own website that it is closed throughout 2026 and plans to reopen in 2027. Do not build a 2026 dinner plan around it; for a 2027 stay, ask the restaurant directly when its booking calendar opens.
For a current Deià option, El Olivo at La Residencia publishes both a tasting menu and a vegetarian tasting menu on the hotel’s official dining page. This is not presented here as a starred recommendation. It is a well-established choice for a slower Tramuntana dinner, with the restaurant’s address at Son Canals in Deià. Confirm service days, dietary arrangements and transport before leaving the villa, especially outside the main season.
A Deià villa stay is more convenient for this part of the island than trying to drive from the east after a full day out. Can Miquelet in Valldemossa/Deià sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms; its published nightly range is €2,813–€5,469 and its minimum stay is five nights. The property’s listed mountain and sea views make the location a natural fit for days in the Tramuntana, while dinner times should still be booked as a separate plan.
If a particular starred table matters more than the setting, Palma and the southwest offer more current alternatives than a last-minute mountain-road drive. Keep the evening local when the restaurant has a confirmed table, and allow more time than a routing estimate in high summer.
North Mallorca: Maca de Castro and Fusion19 near Alcúdia
For villas around Pollença, Alcúdia and the northern bays, Maca de Castro in Port d’Alcúdia is the principal starred destination to plan ahead. The official 2026 MICHELIN list puts Maca de Castro in its one-star section, and the restaurant’s own website has a reservation route. The MICHELIN listing describes a creative tasting menu built around seasonal Mallorca produce, with ingredients also coming from the restaurant’s Sa Pobla garden.
Fusion19 in Playa de Muro, a short drive south of Port d’Alcúdia, is also in the one-star section of the 2026 list. Its own website lists dinner from Wednesday to Sunday and lunch at weekends, built around a tasting menu. Check the current service days before you plan the evening.
Treat the dinner as a Port d’Alcúdia evening, not as an activity to squeeze between the beach and a late return to a remote finca. Contact the restaurant before booking if someone in the party has an important dietary requirement, and confirm the available menu and service time for your date. The restaurant, rather than a guide, should be the final source for a private group request.
Pollença villas are a useful base for the north’s beaches, market towns and this reservation. Casa Limones in Pollença sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms, has published rates of €700–€1,500 per night and a seven-night minimum stay. Its listed nearby restaurants and shops may be helpful for casual nights, but reserve Maca de Castro separately if that is the dinner your group does not want to miss.
Interior Mallorca. For a finca in Alaró, Inca, Porreres or Consell, decide before the week whether a Palma reservation or Maca de Castro matters enough to make it a dedicated evening. This guide makes no named interior restaurant recommendation because its current operation could not be independently verified from an own restaurant website when checked. Finca Es Rafal in Alaró sleeps eight guests in five bedrooms, has published nightly rates of €2,143–€4,000 and a seven-night minimum stay; plan a return driver before leaving a rural villa for a tasting menu.
There are also two Mallorca Bib Gourmand entries in the current MICHELIN directory, but this guide does not make a fixed Bib recommendation because current individual opening dates could not be independently confirmed from their own restaurant sites when checked.
East and south Mallorca: VORO and Andreu Genestra
In the east, VORO in Canyamel is the clearest destination dinner. The official 2026 MICHELIN list puts VORO in its two-star section. Its own site identifies Álvaro Salazar as executive chef, gives a Canyamel address and publishes an online reservation route. The restaurant works with a tasting-menu format, so review dietary restrictions before making the booking.
VORO’s published timetable is seasonal: Tuesday to Saturday in March, April, May and October, then Monday to Friday from June to September, with dinner bookings from 19:00 to 20:30. Its reservation page says that certain serious allergies need to be discussed before booking and that vegetarian and vegan menus are not offered. These details can change, so recheck them when the 2027 calendar is released.
Provençals Cliff in Capdepera sleeps 10 guests in five bedrooms, has a published €2,865 nightly rate and a seven-night minimum stay. That makes a Canyamel dinner a logical east-coast plan rather than an all-island crossing. South-coast groups can still choose a destination dinner, but should decide their driver and return route before the table is confirmed.
For the south, Andreu Genestra at Hotel Zoëtry Mallorca near Llucmajor is in the one-star section of the 2026 list. Its own website describes three tasting menus for the 2026 season and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. It does not recommend visits with children under 12, so it suits an adults' evening. Check the reopening date for 2027 before you plan around it.
For a south stay, The Olive Villa at Es Trenc sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms, with published nightly rates of €1,062–€1,625 and a five-night minimum stay. Use the restaurant’s exact location, not a broad south-Mallorca label, when estimating the return journey from Es Trenc.
How far ahead should you book Mallorca restaurants?
For July and August, make your first restaurant requests as soon as the villa dates are settled; for a large table or a specific tasting-menu seating, aim for at least eight weeks ahead and start earlier if the restaurant releases its diary sooner. A confirmed reservation is more useful than a long list of possibilities. For May, June, September and October, still reserve early for a Friday or Saturday table and keep one flexible evening for a cancellation.
Use the restaurant’s own booking channel, not a third-party availability listing, and include the party size, children’s ages where relevant, allergies and the date of your stay. VORO and DINS Santi Taura publish conditions around menu adaptations, so do not leave serious dietary information until arrival. Marc Fosh, Es Fum and VORO publish current service days on their own sites; recheck them shortly before travel because seasonal timetables can move.
Plan around closures as carefully as tables. Béns d’Avall is explicitly closed throughout 2026, which is a useful reminder that a restaurant can remain prominent in older guides while unavailable for a particular holiday. For 2027, treat a restaurant’s live booking page as the final check on opening dates.
Keep driving practical. The route figures in this guide use OpenStreetMap data and OSRM routing, checked 9 October 2026. They begin at town centres, not a villa gate, and assume free-flow travel. Add a comfortable margin for summer traffic, parking, collecting the group and an unfamiliar final road.
Once you have a villa enquiry, the Azul Stays team can be contacted through the contact page by WhatsApp, phone or email. Restaurant reservations, transportation and any other arrangements are separate from the villa booking and remain subject to the restaurant or provider’s confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
- Which area of Mallorca is best for a food-focused villa holiday?
Palma is the simplest area for a food-focused Mallorca villa holiday because three restaurants in the 2026 one-star list are in the city. The southwest gives access to Es Fum and Sa Clastra. Pollença and Alcúdia work well for Maca de Castro and Fusion19, Llucmajor for Andreu Genestra, and Capdepera and Canyamel suit a VORO reservation. Choose the villa area around the dinner plans that matter most.
- Which Mallorca restaurant has two MICHELIN Stars in 2026?
VORO in Canyamel appears in the two-star section of the official MICHELIN Guide Spain 2026 list. VORO’s own website publishes a seasonal dinner timetable and an online reservation route. A Mallorca visitor should check the restaurant’s live calendar before finalising travel dates because published service days differ between spring, summer and October.
- Which one-star restaurants should I consider in Palma?
The official MICHELIN Guide Spain 2026 list places DINS Santi Taura, Marc Fosh and Zaranda in Palma’s one-star group. Palma diners should choose based on the restaurant’s current menu, service time and the needs of the group, then reserve directly. Marc Fosh’s current site lists lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.
- Are Mallorca’s fine-dining restaurants open all year?
Mallorca fine-dining restaurants are not all open all year. Béns d’Avall states on its official website that it is closed throughout 2026 and plans to reopen in 2027. VORO publishes service from March through October, with different days in spring and summer. A restaurant’s own live booking page is the essential final check for a 2027 Mallorca holiday.
- How should a group book a Mallorca tasting-menu dinner?
A group should book a Mallorca tasting-menu dinner as soon as the villa dates are set, particularly for July and August. Give the restaurant the final party size and dietary information when making the request. VORO and DINS Santi Taura publish conditions for menu adaptations, so guests with serious allergies should contact the restaurant before a table is confirmed.
- How reliable are the restaurant drive times in this Mallorca guide?
The Mallorca restaurant drive times in this guide use OpenStreetMap data and OSRM driving routes checked on 9 October 2026. The calculations start at town centres and show free-flow routing, not a fixed journey from an individual villa. Mallorca guests should add time for summer traffic, parking, a rural access road and gathering the group before departure.
