Frequently Asked Questions
- How far in advance should I book a luxury villa in Mallorca?
For peak season (June–September), we recommend enquiring well in advance, particularly if you have specific dates, locations or villa preferences. Shoulder season (April–May and October) may offer different availability. Last-minute availability can also be explored. The Azul Stays team can help you consider suitable villa options for your preferred dates and location.
- What is the booking process with Azul Stays?
Our process is straightforward: submit an enquiry with your dates, group size, and preferences. We can help you explore suitable villa options and answer questions about your stay. If you book online, a 25% deposit places a provisional hold; the Azul Stays team then checks with the property and confirms the booking in writing. Your written booking confirmation or rental agreement sets out the balance, due date, cancellation terms, security deposit where applicable, check-in and check-out times, and house rules.
- Can I modify or cancel my villa reservation?
Cancellation terms are specific to each villa and are set out in your written booking confirmation or rental agreement. Please review these terms before booking. Travel insurance may also be worth considering for your circumstances.
- Is there a minimum stay requirement for villa rentals?
Each villa has its own minimum stay requirement, which varies by villa and season. Please refer to the individual villa page for the applicable minimum stay, or contact us for details of your chosen dates and property.
- What are the seasonal nightly rates for a luxury villa in Mallorca?
Each villa has its own seasonal nightly rates, published on its villa page, and its own minimum stay requirement. Rates vary by villa, season, location, and features. Optional services such as a private chef, yacht charter, transfers, or car hire can be requested; their scope, provider, price, and availability are confirmed for each booking.
- What payment methods does Azul Stays accept?
Payment arrangements are set out in the written booking confirmation or rental agreement for your chosen villa. For online bookings, a 25% deposit is paid by card and places a provisional hold, after which the Azul Stays team checks with the property and confirms the booking in writing. The balance and its due date are stated in the confirmation.
- Are there any hidden fees or additional costs beyond the rental price?
The rental price and any applicable costs are set out for your chosen villa and confirmed in writing before booking. Any security deposit, house rules, and other booking terms are stated in the written booking confirmation or rental agreement. Optional services can be requested and are quoted for each booking.
- What does the private chef service include and how much does it cost?
A private chef can be requested for your stay. Menu style, dietary preferences, service format, provider, price, and availability are confirmed for each booking, with services quoted according to your requirements.
- Can Azul Stays arrange yacht charters during my villa stay?
Yes. Yacht charters can be requested through our sister company, Bluebnc Yachting, for stays in Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca. Charter options, departure arrangements, provider, price, and availability are confirmed for each booking.
- What optional services can I request for my villa stay?
You can request optional services including private chef arrangements, yacht charter via Bluebnc Yachting, car hire via Azul Cars, transfers, wellness, events, childcare, and more. Restaurant recommendations, grocery pre-stocking, and activity planning may also be requested. The scope, provider, price, and availability of each service are confirmed for your booking.
- Do your villas accommodate families with young children?
Some villas may be suitable for family stays, depending on the property and your requirements. Please ask about features that matter to your group, such as pool arrangements, sleeping layouts, or space for children. Childcare, baby equipment, and family activities can also be requested; scope, provider, price, and availability are confirmed for each booking.
- Which area of Mallorca is best for a luxury villa holiday?
It depends on your priorities. The southwest coast, including Andratx and Port d'Andratx, offers dramatic sea views and proximity to Palma. The north, including Pollensa and Alcúdia, has a quieter, more traditional Mallorcan atmosphere with mountain backdrops. The Tramuntana, including Deià, Valldemossa and Sóller, offers UNESCO-listed scenery and artistic heritage. The southeast, including Santanyí, is known for its beaches. Our team can help you explore locations that suit your preferences.
- Do villa listings show tourist rental (ETV) licence numbers?
Tourist licence (ETV) numbers are shown on each villa page where the property has one. Please review the relevant villa page and contact us if you have questions about a particular property.
- Can I view a villa before committing to a booking?
If you would like to know more about a villa before booking, please contact us with your questions. We can help you review the information published on the villa page and confirm further details with the property where appropriate.
- Do you offer villas with direct beach access in Mallorca?
Mallorca offers villas near a range of coastal settings, including sandy coves, rocky inlets and longer beaches in areas such as Alcúdia Bay, Cala d'Or, Porto Colom and Formentor. Beach proximity and access vary by property; please review the individual villa page or contact us to discuss options for your preferred beach setting.
- How do I get from Palma airport to my villa?
Private transfers can be requested for travel from Palma airport to your villa. Options may include private vehicles or larger vehicles for groups, depending on your requirements and the property location. Transfer scope, provider, price and availability are confirmed for each booking. Helicopter transfers may also be requested.
- Do I need a car during my villa stay in Mallorca?
It depends on your villa's location and planned activities. Villas near Palma or resort towns may be enjoyed without a car, with transfers requested for your stay. Rural or mountain villas can be well suited to a rental car for exploring. Through Azul Cars, car hire can be requested, with vehicle options, delivery arrangements, pricing and availability confirmed for each booking.
- How does Azul Stays protect my payment and personal data?
For questions about payment arrangements or the information needed for your booking, please contact Azul Stays at stays@azulstays.com or +34 971 251 374. The relevant booking details are set out in your written booking confirmation or rental agreement.
- What happens if something goes wrong during my stay?
If an issue arises during your stay, please contact the Azul Stays team. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and can check available options with the property or relevant service provider. For urgent medical or safety emergencies, contact local emergency services.
- Is the security deposit refundable and how much is it typically?
Where a security deposit applies, the amount, payment arrangements and any applicable terms are stated in your written booking confirmation or rental agreement for that villa. Please review these documents carefully or contact Azul Stays with any questions before booking.
